Guará Final Walk: Composition test

This is quite old already, but I thought I should upload.
I made this just as a test, to get used to AE and possibly get an idea of how the visuals in my upcoming short can be.
Personally, I don't like it...but it was nice as a first composition try out. For my actual short, I'll probably pay more attention to the references for the colors.

OBS: I know Guara is slipping a little in the whole thing. It was something in the rendering, because in the preview on AE it looked okay. As i've rendered this thing waaay too many times, I'm gonna keep it like this and try to avoid this in my actual short.

Finished my mask. :)

It's made of paper mache, plastic, paperboard and this modeling thing made of cellulose.
I painted it with acrylic paint.

This is going to become a shirt eventually.

Overall I like how it is.

Only keyframes so I can understand what's going on in there. This will have a few more drawings and will be colored soon. :) /hopefullythisweek

I dislike some things about the mane and tail, but meh it's way better than the tiger i've uploaded in the past. At least it doesn't slide now. x) Anyways, spent too much time with this already, soooo I won't fix those keyframes anymore.

This is not special anyways. Was just a study and not something definite for the actual short.

Dance animation!

An exercise done at Melies on my animation course. All the students worked on this and I think that, for out first experience using video reference and us being noobs, it looks decent!
I like it a lot! Not my part though, cuz I was extremely neglecting the exercise after some time, when things started to look weird and my patience was ruined! -__- I just like the effect animated! woo
My part is the second one! It was nice, however, using a video reference for it! Very challenging!

EDIT: Look how awesome! I sent a Personal Message on Youtube to Parov Stelar - the dancer from the original video - showing him the animation we, the students who created the animation, did and he replied!!

This is an incredible honor. The students did such a fantastic job! Each of them drew with such a distinct style. The minimalist sketch animation seemed to perfectly capture the movement and the overall essence of the dance. It looked so easy for them. And when I thought it was all over, I was blown away with a glimpse of the production process at the end.

Tiger Walk Cyle

Did this just as an study. I've never done a walk cycle before, specially a quad one, so it was really challenging. Anyways, I think it's ok, consindering I'm a newbie, but I know everything could use a lot of improvement, such as the tail and stripes animation. But, yea, I already spent too much time on this. x)
